if you mean the xbox live gold, then yes, you need it to play online.

Fallout 76 is not a subscription game but you will need Xbox Live. You can use Microsoft Rewards program to get points then you can use the points for monthly subscriptions to Xbox Live.

thank you ,when I attempted to play it I kept losing server, and was told I had to be a gold member to play game. I will cancel my subscription. thanks to all replies
