Xbox GAME DVR/ Upload Studio saved videos not showing up

So I have been an Xbox One owner and member since inception of the console back in 2013. Day one owner.

Question is....I have some videos that I have saved... from 2013 until today, some were saved, others were not since i wasn't interested in them and so they naturally disappeared. The ones I saved in question are from 2013 and 2014.... I cannot see them
on my xbox in the game dvr app...however I can see everything from 2015 onwards to 2016. I can see the 2013 and 2014 videos on the xbox site but cannot see them on the xbox to edit them...what gives?

How can I load them onto my xbox? is there a limit to our cloud storage or something? how come i see them on the xbox.com site under my profile ?

Let me know your thoughts.... and please forward this feedback to microsoft if you are an Agent looking at my post !

    cheers..

    :)

    Hi Tristan,

There are several reasons why you are unable to edit your Game DVR videos on Xbox One Upload Studio. It is possible that the video that you are trying to edit is saved online only. To properly isolate your concern, please provide us the following information:

    • Did you download the video from your Game DVR before editing it on the Upload Studio?
    • Were you able to edit the videos that you recorded using the Game DVR on the Xbox One console?
    • Are you only trying to edit game clips?

In the meantime, you may try to record a game clip using the Game DVR on Xbox One and edit it on the Upload Studio to help isolate the issue further. You may refer to this

Upload Studio can't access some of my clips, what do I do?

A few days ago I went through a bunch of clips on my Xbox DVR and trimmed them down with Upload studio. All I really did was make the videos shorter. After doing this, I deleted most of the original videos and was left with the newly edited videos.

There were no problems at this point; the 71 clips were all saved and I could continue to edit them even more with Upload Studio. I decided to make a montage and combine the 71 short clips into 5 longer clips.

After combining the videos I had a series of videos called Montage 1, Montage 2, etc. all the way up to 5. The next step was to put these 5 videos together into 1 super video. I did this and when the video started uploading, I went to bed.

    -----

The next day is when problems started to arise. I looked at my Xbox DVR and noticed that my "Complete Montage Video" was not there. Not only that, but Montage parts 1 and 3 were also not there, even though they were previously and saved as well. I should
mention that the 71 original clips which I never deleted and had saved were still on my Xbox DVR.

I opened the Upload Studio app and saw that the "Complete Montage Video" and montage parts 1 and 3 were there; I just couldn't do anything with them (like putting it on my activity feed or messaging them to someone). I
could view them on xboxdvr.com though. Because I couldn't see these videos on my actual Xbox's Xbox DVR I deleted them because I could just make those videos again as I have the original 71 clips.

I still have the original 71 clips on my Xbox DVR but Upload Studio can't see like 10 of them now for some reason. When I'm selecting clips in Upload Studio, the game clips number on the top left is 160. A few days ago it was at 184. Some of
my saved clips are just not appearing when I try to edit them in Upload Studio even though the same exact clips were used less than 2 days ago to make the originals montage 1, 2, 3, etc.

Also worth noting - when I try to edit clips through Xbox DVR and select the clip I want to use, I get an error (no error code) that says Upload Studio can't access this video at this time. I tried sharing an "issued" video in my activity feed and it worked.
It's just Upload Studio that can't access the clip at all.

    What do I do?

    -----

TL;DR - Upload Studio can't "see" some of my videos that are saved on my DVR even though it could access them less than 2 days ago.

    Upload studio help

Go to Skydrive and sign in with the gamer tag's email/password.

Then click on Pictures and then Xbox Game DVR to find the videos.

For some reason the Xbox One uploads upload studio videos under your "Pictures" and then "Xbox Game DVR" folder. It would make MUCH more sense to have it under videos, but that is where the uploads are stored.

    A MESSAGE FOR MICROSOFT

The Xbox One currently has this feature. You can record videos using the Game DVR feature. Then you can go to Upload Studio to mix the videos as you like (even using a backdrop if you're recording yourself). After you're finished and it's saved you can
go to the Youtube app and upload that video to your Youtube channel.

    Skydrive Upload not working

If by upload to work, do you mean actually finding the uploads you upload and not seeing them? For some reason the Xbox One uploads upload studio videos under your "Pictures" and then "Xbox Game DVR" folder. It would make MUCH more sense to have it under
videos, but that is where the uploads are stored.
