Xbox game DVR on windows 10. Can I upload captures that were caught from 3rd party software?

I use a third party software to capture footage of my games and have it save to the same folder that my Xbox game captures are saved to, and would like to upload them my xbox live account to share with my friends. When I try to upload, however, I receive
an error that reads "Sorry, this capture can't be shared. We don't recognize this game." Is there any way around this?

    :)

  2. Can't upload game clips of The Crew 2

    Hi!

Have you edited these videos you have taken with another app?

Also is the footage captured using the Xbox DVR option (Windows + G) or other third party software?

From my experience videos that are taken using third party capturing software or edited without the Xbox app can not be uploaded using the Xbox app.

    Hope this helps.

    Hey Jason!

Thanks for reaching out to us today. Game clips on Xbox are recorded, edited, and shared from the Game DVR feature associated to the Upload Studio app. The Upload Studio app is the only way to upload and share clips that you recorded from Xbox or Xbox on
    Windows 10.

As of right now, I don't think there is a way to convert or transfer your recorded files that are captured using your internal graphics card. All clips are captured using the Game DVR feature and then edited and shared from Upload Studio.

    Look over our
Game DVR and Upload Studio on Xbox One
article online that goes over how to record and share clips on Xbox.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello Smith,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. I do not believe that this is supported. When you capture screenshots using the Game DVR / Bar, the name of the game and the "creator" of the file are added in automatically. This needs to be there labeled correctly for
the share process to go through without error.

Just in case this helps, here is a link for capturing screenshots and uploading them :

    1. No, it does not record party chat. But there is an Xbox Feedback post that you can vote on to help this feature get attention:

    2. No, you cannot record your face within a DVR clip. You can broadcast with Twitch and you have the option to broadcast your Kinect within the game window, so you could download the clip from Twitch to accomplish this. You also have the option of opening
your game DVR clips in Upload Studio and adding a Kinect windows there as well.

    3. See #2.

    4. You do not need a Kinect to record. If you do not have a Kinect instead of saying "Xbox, record that" you'll simple double-tap the Xbox button on your control then press X to record.

Maybe you can do it via pc. With a third party software.
