Xbox game disc hard copy need assistance

I have Xbox one hard copy on my hard drive I just bought a Xbox series s I plug my hard drives in to play games and it not letting me play the games I have hard copies on is it because it a hard copy instead of digital and does that mean I have to repurchase a digital copy to play games I have hard copies on....is there any body who would trade me hard copies for digital copies instead of me having to rebuy the games again

So no one would trade disc for digital or upgrade the games for new systems I would have to repurchase the game all over again

Hello there!

Unfortunately the Xbox Series S does not support physical disc based games. Therefore, you will need to repurchase the digital versions of those games in order to play them.

Hey-

1) once content is installed on your hard drive, it does not need to read the disc. The disc is used to verify that you own the game and then the content is read off your hard drive. You can use another copy of the same game disc to do this. This works
with any game ( you just need a copy of the game and it does not have to be the same disc you installed to your hard drive)

2) for most games, you only need the current disc to continue on with the game. I am not sure about this game in particular (since I have it on xbox one), but it should be the same. You only need the previous disc if you want to restart the game or play
an earlier save.

24 is right, even though your install the disc to your hard drive you still need a physical copy of the game in your xbox to play
