Xbox game clips fast/jittery and just unwatchable.

Hello everyone,

So I just upgraded to the xbox one x and a new 4k tv last week and loving every second of it! Well except for the fact that any game clips i record on call of duty black ops 4 are unwatchable, and the funny thing is its just this game! I tested it on assasins
creed odyssey and resident evil 2 and they playback fine with no issues. When i try and play the COD videos back they move REALLY fast as if ive hit the fast forward button (but i don’t) and they skip around and get jittery and you end up missing the good
parts of why i tried recording it in the first place lol, when i had the OG xbox last week all of those recordings are fine...it started after i upgraded to the X and JUST with call of duty.....any help would be greatly appreciated as i have many “hey cortana,
record that” moments in call of duty ever since ive upgraded to the X...this thing is a beast and i love it! I typed this on my phone so sorry in advance Lol.

UPDATE! I figuered out the problem finally....it was me being a xbox one x and 4k tv newb lol. So my tv is 120hz refresh rate so in the settings of course i put 120hz...didnt know when i did that it reverted the display setting to 1440p instead of 4k....so
anyways, now when i setup the clips to record in 4k it is now working, so basically i just needed to leave the settings at 4k @ 60hz...and wow now my games look and play even better, i’ve been playing at only 1440p this entire time! Anyways thanks everyone
for trying to help me i really appreciate it and sorry for the confusion on my part lol.

Hi when you look at the clips on xbox dvr is it the same?

Ok so i was able to try both of the above recommendations and turned on COD again and recorded a clip, still having the same issue as before....i also tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that did not work either....its crazy how my regular OG xbox
never had a problem like this and then when i upgrade to the xbox one x i cant record video clips on COD anymore. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi Tino,

I suggest trying all of the basic troubleshooting available just so we use everything on the table. I suggest trying the hard reset that was mentioned earlier but this time also unplug the console's power cord from the outlet for a few minutes and then try
again.

If that doesn't help then I recommend giving the console a
soft factory reset. Games and apps will stay intact and your profile data will be recovered once you re-add the profile during the factory reset set-up so make sure you have your account login information available.

Give the factory reset a try and let us know if anything improves.

Thanks Diego, I didnt think about doing this...unfortunately I wont be able to try this until tomorrow evening....i think before i go to bed tonight im going to try uninstalling COD (since this is the only game giving me this issue) and reinstalling it overnight
and see if that works before i soft reset....i will post progress tomorrow evening, thanks again!

Oh, and i did buy the xbox one x brand new so not used or anything....just to cover all bases.
