    Hi,

    Been recording game clips for years, download them and share them with friends/twitter etc with no problems. Occasionally I have to delete them all off my xbox (which is fine) and I did this about 6 weeks ago. This is only the third time I've needed to do
    this since having the console since release day.

    I've been recording still since then and have clips at the 2 minute range as set. However, this weekend, my clips on MW are max 3 seconds long. Any ideas why?

    Also, check in your Settings for Capture settings. Not long ago, I noticed mine were limited as well. I found the Capture settings and sure enough, you could set the max time length of game clips there, up to 2 or 3 minutes, I believe. I set it to the
    max amount just in case I ever wanted it, but you can definitely change the time length there so I would check and see what that is set on. Good luck!

    I shall try this tonight when I get home but I've not long deleted all my clips, unless they're taking up more space now? I've also moved the console twice on Saturday so it's definitely been unplugged to reboot but I'll try one more. Thanks.

    Can you check whether the storage allocated to game clips is full, clear some out if necessary. If no issue here, please try a hard reset to clear the cache. Hold the power button for 10 seconds then press it again to reboot.

    Im trying to record game clips on my xbox and the xbox records the wrong things, eg i should be recording a 15 second long clip but it is showing it as 6 seconds not the full length
    Hi!
    You can change the length of the clips to be recorded in the settings.
    If you want longer clips I recommend increasing the time to maybe 30 seconds.

    Xbox Game Captures too short

    You can adjust the length of the clips that the Xbox takes. Although it is strange that they are defaulting to 4-6 seconds. Usually they default to 30 seconds. Definitely take a look at the capture settings and you can set a default time for game clips
    there. You can set it up to 2 minutes.
