Xbox game chat sucks on pc

Please check microphone permissions and settings by going to Settings > Privacy > Microphone and ensure that "Allow apps access to the microphone" is turned on and that the Xbox app has permission to use the microphone.

And on your Xbox game bar. Open the Xbox Game Bar (Windows + G), go to Settings, and ensure that the "Party chat" tab is set up correctly with your audio devices selected for input and output.

Next is in game-specific settings because some games have their own voice chat settings. Check if your microphone and speakers are set to the correct devices and that the volume and input levels are appropriate.

Then check default devices. Do this in the Windows Sound Control Panel (type "Control Panel" in the search bar and then click "Sound"), make sure your headset and microphone are set as the default communication devices.

Make sure to update audio drivers because an outdated drivers can cause issues. Download and install the latest drivers for your audio devices from the manufacturer's website.

After that is to check network connection. A weak or unstable internet connection can affect voice chat. Make sure you have a stable connection.

same, I have a couple friends telling me bf3 will SUCK on the xbox because pc has better grphics and plays with more people. Duh, thats how it is with almost every pc vs console game... bf3 will be a good game on xbox.

A teamplayer, would really prefer the easy party join, teamspeak of the Xbox.. I think.



I played 1000+ hours of battlefield 2, totally love that game.. but i never "really" could chat good with friends, Hell, i dont even had friends op pc to chat with. Xbox FTW in that case for sure.

I can't text with my friend or chat or private chat with my friend. Xbox live sucks. PS3 online is better. I love xbox when it works. But right now Microsoft sucks!!!!

The party and game invite system sucks. You basically have to let the party do it for you. Which is lame. Party chat sucks also. If you're not playing the same game as someone else, party chat gets weird. It'll keep saying "Cannot connect to party chat".

It sucks but what i have found that works is everyone going to the Xbox home screen the starting the party chat then going into the game.
