XBox Game Bar Windows 10 bugging out

So I basically tried using Xbox Game Bar after a week of keeping my system shut down, and now it refuses to work, I've tried repairing it, as well as resetting it, nothing works. The "Record Game Clips and Broadcast" toggle switch is off by default now,
and whenever I toggle it on and close settings, it reverts to Off. What do I do? Please help

Edit : The Reset option did not delete any of my captures either

Your GameDVR folder is missing.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\

Right click the empty area, choose "New" and then "Key"

Right click on the new key/folder and rename it to GameDVR

Inside the GameDVR key/folder right click on the empty area, and choose “DWORD 32”

Right click on the newly added one and rename it back to "AllowGameDVR". Double click it and set it back to 1

I did not have the GameDVR folder where you mentioned it in Step 2, so I performed 1 and 3, but the Game Bar did not appear

if the steps given to you do not work please come back and let us know. Even before doing all of these steps just make sure your windows is updated before you do anything with the registry.

Checked, Windows is fully updated , with all security updates + definition updates, went through the registries as per the steps given, and now the toggle stays at "on" instead of reverting, but the Game Bar still does not appear
