    Xbox Game bar will only record either me or my friends voice


    When i first recorded, i would be able to hear the sound from the game and me.

    But when I go into the settings for the game bar and change "only game" to "all", i would be able to hear my friend and the game in the recording, but not me.

    Does anyone know a way for the recording to capture my voice, my friends voice and the game in the same recording?

    Ps: My game bars language is set to Danish, so the "only game" and "all" buttons are just me directly translating, and may actually be called something else.

    Add Feature audio recording for game clips.

    WHAT?!?! No automatic voice over recording????
    To my surprise, I found game clips don't record audio. On the PS4, I can either record game play and the voice over records automatically or hit the "record that" to save X number of minutes/seconds of game play and it saves the game play
    WITH the voice over to my clips tab thingy.

    Sooooooo, why does the Xbox One not record a voice over at the same time as recording/saving a clip? That seem like an obvious feature every console would have. Like, come on people! If some one doesn't want to record their voice at the same time as
    recording/saving game play, have a switch to shut of voice sharing while recording!

    I trust something is in the works, but this feature should have been available at launch.

    If I'm totally out to lunch and there is a way to simultaneously record game play
    AND audio on my Xbox One, give me a virtual slap across my face and explain to me how to do it! Xbox Game bar will only record either me or my friends voice :p

    Game DVR records my friends voice in skype and it shouldn't do that.

    I have my windows 10 game dvr. Now when I play battlefield 1 and record my game using win + alt + r the game dvr doesnt record my voice which is correct, but it records my friends voice from skype. I got the mic recording turned off or anything related to
    it. So it should only record the games audio and not the skype audio. Any idea how to fix this?

    Sorry to hear it. I'm afraid the game bar cannot record your voice. I would recommend using either the Xbox Console Companion or an app such as OBS to record clips with your voice

    Game Bar Does Not Record my voice during party chat

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. With recording your voice it will not do this through the game bar itself. You either have to do it through the Xbox companion app or have a capture card. As this guide for

    setting up streaming windows 10     shows it will only record from the Microphone on the PC not the headset.

    Recorded audio

    Record game play with or without sounds from your game and your microphone, and choose the audio quality.

    • To record game sounds with your game clips, turn on Record audio when I record a game.
    • To choose a different audio quality than the default, select the Audio quality box and choose one of the options.
    • To record through your microphone, turn on Record audio when I record a game.
    Thanks Brad. I went to the Companion app and it redirects me to the Windows 10 settings that you outlined above. Based on this, looks like the microphone has to be connected to the PC to record my own voice. Is there a way I can request this as a feature?

    everything is normal,i can hear the voice

    and the inspection hasn’t a issue

    the problem is the screen record video can’t record the voice from my mic

    means when i record , my friend can hear my voice

    Viewing and Downloading Xbox Clips on Computer

    I am not sure if this exclusive to a select amount of PCs yet if you click the Windows icon + G then it will bring up the XBOX Game Bar where you can message friends, access games and record clips. Clips recorded using this method will be sent to a section on the Bar for viewing and will also be in the folders. Yet this way of recording does not work for all games, and probably only works for games owned by Microsoft/ games accessible on XBOX
