Basing on the statement you provided above, here are some troubleshooting steps that you may try:

First, make sure that your Windows 10 is up to date. You can do this by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and clicking "Check for updates."



Next, try resetting the Xbox Game Bar app. To do this, right-click on the Xbox Game Bar icon in the taskbar and select "Settings." Then, click on "Reset" under the "General" tab.



If that doesn't work, try disabling hardware acceleration in your browser. To do this in Google Chrome, go to Settings > Advanced > System and toggle off "Use hardware acceleration when available."

Xbox game bar doesn't work in all games or resolutions, try switching to windowed mode and see if that fixes the problem.

Many games simply use technology that does not allow recording. Rest your mouse cursor over the recording icon and it will tell you the reason.

As first, even though it might seem obvious, it's always best to ensure that our PC and all drivers are up to date.

I would recommend trying to reset the Game Bar.

To reset the Xbox Game Bar:

Open the Settings app.
Go to Apps > Apps & features.
Find the "Xbox Game Bar" app in the list.
Click on "Advanced options".
Select "Reset" to clear the app's settings and cache.
