    Xbox Game Bar Push to Talk Hotkey not Functional


    Hello,

    I have seen this same post be locked due to age without any solution several times.

    I don't currently see one open, so I thought I would contribute to the white noise of being ignored.

    The Xbox Game Bar App and overlay have a setting for push to talk functionality.

    When I set up a hotkey, one of two things happen.

    1. The app does not recognize the hotkey set up. Therefore it continues party chat as normal.

    2. The app does not recognize the hotkey set up and instead just mutes my mic.

    I have no issue understanding audio, my setup or any other technical aspect of this issue.

    I have set it up, restarted the app, computer, games, etc.

    I even tried setting it up in the PC's settings app. Thinking maybe I could get the mic on/off keyboard shortcut to work. That also does nothing to adjust audio in game.

    My push to talk functionality works great on all my other applications.

    I only wish to use this when playing with my console friends, which should be possible.

    I have found several locked threads spanning two years on this issue.

    Not one of them was given any acknowledgement of the issue or attempt to fix it by the support team.

    I am having the same issue, this used to work but now I cannot use push to talk in Sea of Thieves unless I toggle the game bar open when in an Xbox Party audio chat.

    I also cannot set mouse buttons as push to talk hotkeys in the Xbox Game Bar settings, only keyboard keys.

    Hi, this has nothing with recording clips or screenshots. The game bar opens fine when I press the hotkey. This has to do with push to talk not working when in a party. Did you maybe respond to the wrong question?

    I understand you need help with key binding push to talk on game bar.

    Key binding option to push to talk on game bar actually does not detect those other keys aside from the normal and standard keys from the keyboard. Function keys only goes up to F12 and cannot go beyond that. It could also not detect other mouse buttons unfortunately.
