Xbox Game Bar Pictures

When my friends (that are on Xbox) send pictures to me I can't see them it just says, "This message contains unknown content" and I can't see the picture, please help, I have been looking through my settings and all over the Xbox app and I don't know if there's a setting that turns off pictures from Xbox people.

in the game bar there's only buttons for record, stream, and take a picture, no invitations

you can do this in the xbox companion console by clicking on your current picture on the bar on the left, clicking customize, clicking on your picture and choosing select a custom image.

The game is new. And yes, I also found it quite strange, I first asked for a picture of the activation key and the bar code of the game and then they sent me to ask here in the Xbox forums.

I found this odd due to I never seen advertisements when I use the Game Bar
