Xbox Game Bar Party System on PC

Whenever I have the game bar open and am in a party chat, my mic will not work unless I have the game bar app selected. As soon as I continue my game the mic doesn't work at all.

Push to talk does the same thing. Pinning a specific menu does not seem to do any good.

I want to be in the party chat and continue playing like normal with push to talk on in the party chat.

I have a Blu Yeti Mic, and am trying this in Modern Warfare. All chat/microphone options are turned off in game. I've tried it with different chat options on, but no dice.

Any ideas? I know it's in beta but I figure there has to be a way to get this to work properly. Thanks!

Xbox companion app is discontinued, and the "Party Invitations" and "Games" notification settings are nonexistent in the Xbox PC app. Settings for invites and messages are all on the Game Bar app for PC.

You'll just have to make sure these settings are checked after reinstalling the game bar @ (Game Bar)Settings>Notifications>Xbox Social>Notify me when I'm invited to a party or multiplayer game

I’m not playing on console. My mates are. And I’m using the Xbox game bar on pc to party up with them while playing destiny 2 on pc, destiny 2 has cross play so I use the game bar to party up with Xbox console players. Also I have a Xbox series s if i do the steps above does the console need to be on or no

If you have the latest update, then party invites don't go to the Xbox Console Companion app anymore, and they go straight to the Game Bar. Same for party chat on the PC.

To access the Game Bar, just press the Windows button and G at the same time, you should be able to see your invites there.
