Xbox Game Bar Party Static

I have a problem with party members hearing a buzzing or static noise when I speak in the party on the Xbox Game Bar.

I have tried changing the format of the sample rate to 16bit in the sound settings on my Windows 10 PC and the party still hears static when I talk.

I use a GoXLR mixer for my microphone, so maybe it is that?

The microphone I use is the Blue Yeti Pro condenser microphone.

It happens when I am streaming on Twitch and using the Xbox console companion to stream the Xbox game to my PC.

I really would like to stop the static, so the other party members don't have to put up with it, I am sure it must be giving them a headache

Does anyone know a fix for this issue that I cannot seem to find an answer to?

"Xbox Game Bar:

Open the Xbox Game Bar

Go to your "Audio" widget

Select the "Voice" tab

Change your "WINDOWS DEFAULT INPUT" to the headset or microphone you'd like to use.

Change your "DEFAULT COMMUNICATIONS OUTPUT" and your "DEFAULT COMMUNICATIONS INPUT" to the headset or microphone you'd like to use.

Scroll down to "More Settings"

Click "Xbox Party Chat"

Change your "AUDIO OUTPUT" to the headset or microphone you'd like to use.

Change your "AUDIO INPUT" to the headset or microphone you'd like to use.

Verify that "push to talk" is not enabled

Xbox app:

Open the Xbox app

Click your profile icon at the top right corner of the page

Select "Settings"

Select "Audio"

Set your default "Input device" to the headset or microphone you'd like to use.

Set your default "Output device" to the headset or microphone you'd like to use.

Verify that "push to talk" is not enabled"

Please also double check if you have audio enhancements enabled, if yes disable it.

Party chat on Windows/Xbox App still works. An alternative is the Xbox game bar Party.

To bring up the Xbox game bar, Hold the Windows button and Press "G"

From there you will be able to initiate a Party and Much more!

I believe they're remove Party from the companion app and moving it to the Xbox Game Bar (Win+G). Once you open Game Bar be sure to check if the option to receive Xbox One party/game invites is turned on.

To start a party on Game Bar, you'll have to create a new message and add friends in it and click on the Headset icon on the top right.

Hello Cedric,

Try to right-click on the little speaker icon in the right-hand side of the taskbar, and click on recording devices. Double-click on your active microphone and click the tab that says "Advanced". In the drop down menu, change it from the default, I used "2 channel, 16 bit, 96000Hz (Studio Quality)".
