xbox game bar not recording my voice for any of the clips

i had a issue previously where when i clipped any game recording it would just display the first frame for the whole clip and just have audio running in the background, so the screen would be frozen and the audio would just play, i had a look at the help Microsoft offered and i reinstalled it all and set it all up again but now it wont pic up my microphone but the display is fine along with the game sound, just cant hear my self speaking, please help me out if possible!

Sorry to hear it. I'm afraid the game bar cannot record your voice. I would recommend using either the Xbox Console Companion or an app such as OBS to record clips with your voice

To make sure that your application is optimized, please use the Microsoft Gaming Repair Tool for Xbox App, this tool detects and automatically repairs error found on your system. Please download and install it using this link then run it as administrator.

Once done, make sure that you your microphone is configured correctly and you're not muted.

Press Window + G to open Game Bar, go the "Audio" window, click on "Voice" tab and select your microphone.

On the "Capture" window, make sure that your microphone is not muted. If your microphone has physical mute button, make sure to unmute it as well.

Xbox clips don't record voice/game chat currently. You can record the voice on a different device and then add it to your gameplay, or stream the content trough twitch. You can also use a capture card.

But if you don't have any equipment, only the Xbox recording feature will not record the game chat/party voice.
