Xbox Game Bar not recording microphone by default

I have gone through all of my settings to make sure everything has permissions and that all of my recording options are turned on. Seeing other people's posts, this has been a known bug for a long time and it'd be nice to see a fix. It's extremely annoying.
In my settings, I have "Record audio when I reocrd a game" on, "Turn mic on by default when I record" on, and I have it set to record ALL of my audio. I can't tell you how many times I try to get a game clip of my reaction to something and my mic was muted
because I forget to manually turn it on every single time when I start up a game, or even after I alt-tab and tab back into the game. Help!

    :)

Xbox Game Bar not recording microphone by default

As I mentioned in my original post, I've given the Xbox Game Bar app permissions. It's a bug. It shuts itself off even when I have the option turned on for it to turn my mic on by default when I record.

Please check Privacy Settings. Make sure that the Xbox Game Bar and Xbox app have permission to access your microphone in Windows' privacy settings. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone.

And the verify Microphone input. In the Xbox Game Bar, go to Settings > Voice Chat and make sure your microphone is selected as the default input device.

Check your Windows sound settings (Settings > Sound) and verify that your microphone is set as the default recording device in both the input and output sections.

Next is to update audio drivers because an outdated audio drivers can cause problems. To do this, right-click on the Start menu, select Device Manager, expand "Audio inputs and outputs," and right-click on your audio device to update the driver.

Then reset the Xbox Game Bar by going Settings > Apps > Apps & features find Xbox Game Bar, click Advanced options, and select Reset.

After that is to check for Windows Updates. Ensure that your Windows 11 operating system is up to date.

Kindlyuninstall and then reinstall the Xbox Game Bar through the Microsoft Store settings.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, please use your microphone in a different application, like a voice chat application or a video recording program, to see if the problem is isolated to the Xbox Game Bar.

Xbox game bar does not record audio after tabbing out

Ok, my friend. You can try this, please:

Go to Settings in the Xbox Game Bar, Capturing, then “Audio to Record”. By default it is set as Game. You can change it to All as that includes Game audio, your microphone, apps, etc. This maybe can help to not stop recording when you alt + tab.

If it doesn't help too, please let me know.
