Xbox Game Bar not recording audio from Nvidia Broadcast

I've never been able to get Xbox Game Bar to capture my audio when I record - not with my normal mic/Nvidia Broadcast/Voicemod or anything else. If you wanna record clips/gameplay your best bet is to use OBS (it's free). If you don't wanna download OBS then might as well just keep using your normal mic and deal with a little bit of background noise. If you want you can use the Xbox Game Bar feedback section (Settings Cog > Feedback > Xbox Game Bar Feedback) and report it as a bug.

Xbox Clips feature are just record video/audio from current game, without your party voice chat. If you need to record video with party chat you can try to start broadcasting with Twitch (dont forget to record party chat in your broadcast settings), and
then create clips from your past broadcast.

To record Game Bar overlay while recording with Game Bar itself, you need to enable the "Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game bar" option in the Game Bar settings. Here are the steps to do so:



1. Press the Windows key + G to open the Game Bar.

2. Click on the Settings icon (gear icon) on the Game Bar.

3. In the Game Bar settings, make sure that the "Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game bar" option is turned on.

4. Also, make sure that the "Record audio when I record a game" option is turned on if you want to record audio along with your gameplay.

5. Once you have enabled these settings, you can start recording your gameplay by pressing the Windows key + Alt + R.



Please note that not all games support Game Bar overlay recording. If you are having trouble recording Game Bar overlay while recording with Game Bar itself, it could be due to the game not supporting this feature. You can check the game's display settings to see if there are any options related to Game Bar overlay recording.

Hi There,

There is no way to separate audio between applications when recording, it is recording audio captured from your default audio device set on your computer, unless you could some how separate the applications to use different audio devices it would record
any audio broadcasting on your audio device.

if your using nvidia then use shadow play, customise the triggers, you can setup hotkeys for record that, continuous record and broadcasting. athere are a lot of games that hate and dont interact nicely with gamebar.
