Xbox Game Bar Limited Functionality

This seems to be all that comes up with my Xbox Game Bar. No main dock, social tabs etc.

I can't see group chats to accept them or pretty much anything outside of recording and screenshots.

I've reset this app multiple times and still end up with just this. I've searched online and haven't found a single soul with this problem except me. Is there anything i can do to fix this?

Ye I know what your saying. I'm on the insider's windows 10, I have a few issues with game bar I stopped using it for now .

I would if your in the insider's let them know there is a problem, it helps to rule out things 👍

Try this:

1. Click settings (cog icon)

2. Personalization

3. Overlays

4. Click "Reset" under default overlays

Also seems like you run preview/insider build of Windows 10, it might be a bug there? The current build for "stable" channel is 1903.

The Windows Game Bar recording function isn't a screen recorder, it's limited to recording one game or application at a time. To record the whole screen you'll need a third party application.

If i am not mistaken Backwards Compatible games don't function as they would on the Xbox 360, There is some limitations to how the game works and functionalities to the UI

Let's hope they do look into, and implement, something like that. Would appease a lot of people. Seems simple enough. Don't limit the game-playing functionality due to other secondary functions, limit the other secondary functions to keep the game-playing
function working. Perfect.
