Xbox game bar keeps crashing when I try to open it on windows 11

When you say that you tried to reinstall the game bar… did you do it using the PowerShell command?

If not, please try that:

Right-click on the Start button and select Windows PowerShell (Admin) from the pop-up menu.

Copy and paste the following command in PowerShell and hit Enter to uninstall the Game Bar from your system.

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackage

Now head over to Microsoft Store and search for Xbox Game Bar, install it and give it a new try

If yes, may I know if you tried deleting the registry keys associated with the game bar?

Press Windows key+R then type regedit and press Enter.
Go to this path (expand the folders using the little ">")

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR

Once there delete all the keys except (Default), restart your PC and try again

Hi, let’s try to isolate the problem a bit more:

A. Open task manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there temporarily
Restart the PC and try again

B. Do a clean boot in your PC and try again

1. Run the SFC tool to find and repair possible system corruptions

Thank you for your reply! I did use the PowerShell command. I also just now tried to delete all keys except default and restarted my pc but the problem is still here unfortunately. Is there any other way of fixing this?

To keep Xbox Game Bar on your desktop while browsing the web or another app, you can follow these steps:

Press Windows logo key + G to open the Game Bar above your game, app, or desktop

Windows 8.1 HP Laptop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this game over 10 times and the same thing keeps happening!!!! When I try to load the game, the window opens but crashes immediately. The game will not display.
