Xbox Game Bar Hang and Audio Glitch (Persistent Issues)

Both Windows and Xbox Game Bar were not at the latest version, so I updated them. In addition, I uninstalled Dell SupportAssist Remediation just in case, because it was causing CPU spikes.

After that, I recorded videos for several hours and there is no problem with audio so far!

Xbox Game Bar offers the highest quality of image, so I am glad that I can keep using it.

I'm sorry to hear about this issue, could you check to see if you have the latest Windows Update, or if Xbox Game Bar itself needs an update?

Does your graphics card come with its own recording software too? If so, do you still get the same audio glitches when you use that to record gameplay?

Please check Microphone permissions. Ensure Xbox Game Bar has permission to access your microphone. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and ensure it's enabled for Xbox Game Bar.

And then update audio drivers because an outdated or incompatible drivers can cause issues. Kindly update your audio drivers via Device Manager.

Next is to reset Xbox Game Bar by going to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, find Xbox Game Bar, and select Advanced Options. Then, click Repair and if incase it won't work choose Reset.

Then check Party Chat Settings. To do this, open Xbox Game Bar, go to Settings > Party Chat, and make sure that your microphone is selected as the input device.

After that is to check for Windows updates, make sure that your device is up to date.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly test with another headset to rule out hardware issues.

Been having the same problem for just as long. This is definitely some kind of Windows 11 and Xbox game bar issue. Audio is perfect in every other app but the game bar.
