Xbox game bar for windows - i cant unmute my mic while recording.

Try to do this workaround:

Press Windows Key+G (this will open game bar) > click on the small settings icon located on the top right of the game bar window>scroll down to bottom and select ALL instead of GAME ONLY option.

If it doesn't work, try to uninstall reinstall Xbox game bar. To reinstall, open Microsoft Store > search Xbox game bar then reinstall it from there.

the record feature *has* been working, it records everything except my mic when I alt+tab or "Tab out" in where I have to mute and unmute for it to registed my mic again.

Hi there!

As far as I know, there's no way to record Mic audio from clips while recording on Xbox.

I guess you can try streaming the game to your windows PC and record from there while also recording your mic.

Try unmute your mic while the party menu is open on the left side of the screen press y to unmute your mic

1. Press Windows key + I, to open Settings.
   
2. Click on Gaming and select Captures from the left pane.
   
3. Under Background recording, toggle the switch to right for Record in the background while I’m playing a game.
   
4. Try recording the game now.
