  1. Xbox Game Bar audio controls don't affect game volume?

The audio controls in the Xbox Game Bar affect everything *but* the game I'm playing. I've tried multiple games (Destiny 2, Hitman 2) and it's consistent. Moving the slider does not change the game volume, and pressing the Mute button does not mute the game.

However, all other functions on the Audio menu seem to be working as expected. I can change or mute the master volume fine and that affects everything. Also changing the volume of other programs affects them as expected.

Is this a known issue? Is there any workaround?

    :)

Streaming to computer: controller and headset issues

Ok, so I figured out that to get game audio/chat to work while streaming, we had to hook the controller up to the computer we are streaming to via USB. The headset stayed plugged into the controller. Yay! Game audio AND chat!

NEXT PROBLEM: there seems to be no way to control game volume/chat volume while streaming. We have mute chat at the top, but that is all. The computer volume controls do not affect the stream, and the volume controls on the controller adapter also seem to
    do nothing.

How do you control game/chat volume while streaming?

No Game Audio through Headset/Earphones After Controller Update

Try opening your Xbox menu by pressing the home button on your controller, then clicking "audio". There should be a volume bar for game vs voice chat below the regular audio bar. Moving this bar to the right makes the game louder and voice chat quieter,
moving it to the left makes voice chat louder and the game quieter. Hope this helps!

Why does my xbox game bar mess with my audio volume?

    Hello Tomass Rubenis,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the Xbox Game Bar sound volume. This could be caused by a number of factors, such as your audio settings, your drivers, or your system updates. Here are some steps you can try to fix it:

    - Check your audio settings in the Xbox Game Bar app. Make sure the volume slider is not set to auto-adjust or mute. You can also adjust the volume of individual apps and games using the audio mixer.

    - Update your audio drivers and your Windows 10 system. Sometimes outdated or corrupted drivers can cause sound problems. You can use the Device Manager to check for updates or download them from your manufacturer's website.

    - Restart your computer and the Xbox Game Bar app. This can help resolve any temporary glitches or conflicts that might be affecting the sound volume.

Xbox One stereo headset adapter/game sound

Im having the same issue with my Astro A40s. Even adjusting the game/chat volume control on the mixamp does nothing but change whether in game music is louder or if in game character audio is louder. Nothing seems to affect the party chat audio by itself.
