    Xbox Game Bar and my issues for it not working


    I've been having the issue with game since November 2023 and have been using the repair and reset feature in app settings on my pc. I've recently contacted support about it, but now my repair and reset functions don't seem to work. I've updated the Xbox app and in the game bar it still says "Background apps permissions for Xbox are turned off. Others may not be able to hear you." I have all permissions turned on unless I'm missing something. I'm wondering if some one has a fix or if its just a bug or error within game bar. I'd appreciate the help if someone knows.

    No, none. You really won't listen.

    It is not a connection issue. It is an issue where GAME BAR does not properly resolve the steam link. This is a game bar issue, probably in the registry. Unlike my former windows 10 machine, there is no xboxlive registry entry for sea of thieves, and I do not know why this is.

    The accounts are linked. The game works. The game bar works. Everything works, except this message pops up when I try to use game bar to join game or accept an invite. I can play Sea of Thieves online via xbox services on steam. THAT WORKS. But the game bar does not resolve join/accept protocols properly.

    If you are not equipped to troubleshoot this level of technical issue, GET SOMEONE ELSE!

    PS. on windows 11 support for Xbox Console Companion is ending THIS MONTH. It is already delisted from the main store. Everything connection wise is fine and you keep insisting it is a connection issue.

    I can't record and clip with the xBox game bar

    I have an older and very bad laptop where I don't have any issue with the Xbox Game bar.
    This laptop is the Lenovo Legion Y520. It was for my brother and I was using it to play games, I haven't this issue. But now we added my account on it and removed a lot of his stuff and recording with Xbox Game bar isn't working anymore.

    Please follow the steps below:

    Settings > Apps > Search for Xbox Game Bar > Advanced Options > Reset & Repair > Restart your PC.
