Xbox game bar and ms-gaming overlay

Dear all,

I would like to uninstall the XBox game bar and disable the ms-gaming-overlay app prompt. I have found solutions for both using the command prompt, but would like to know if there is a more user-friendly way to remove this invasive feature.

and it will be back with the next and following updates.

Windows is not a normal operating system anymore hence why it is free, you agree to all the terms each and every time you sign in, they can add or remove items at will.

there is not a lot more you can do other than move to another OS that would suite your needs more.

So there are ways to uninstall this and/or disable it, whether MS is willing to share that with us or not.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR

Right-click AppCaptureEnabled and set its value to 0.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore

Right-click GameDVR_Enabled and set its value to 0.

Or

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage with admin

Or

winget uninstall "xbox game bar" winget uninstall "xbox game bar plugin"

Unfortunately no, the APP is added to the operating system so it cannot be removed.

I updated and reset the apps and it still didn't work. Forgot to mention that I was talking about Nvidia In-Game Overlay. Xbox Game Bar works perfectly fine, it's just the Nvidia In-Game Overlay that doesn't work properly.
