Xbox Game App - This location isn't set up for installing games.

Are you trying to install games in a different drive than C:?
If yes, the drive that you want to use is already formatted as NTFS?
Double check this opening file explorer > my computer > right click on the drive > properties > next to file system

And please tell me briefly what did you tried so far to fix this problem
This is to avoid giving you the same troubleshooting steps

It says This location isn't set up for installing games

Then i click on the link below and was able to set new apps to the location i needed. thank for the quick reply.

Set it as your location for where new apps are saved

Please try creating a new NTFS partition in that case described above
Could be the partition itself, as was used on another PC. Is causing issues

If the hard drive uses a different format file as NTFS, you may need to do it.

The other option if available is create a new NTFS partition using the free space in case you didn't want to lose the games in there (by the way, if those games are from the Xbox app on the other PC, the other PC is not going to recognize them)

After that, select the new partition as where new content is going to be installed via Windows settings > System > Storage

Thank you. I was having the same problem, on a fresh reinstall of Windows 10, and once I followed your steps, it turned out Gaming Services wasn't installed. It's all working now.
