XBox Game App Error Code 0x8007001f

Alright, I'm paying $11 a month to keep getting this error that just suddenly now comes out of no where. Previously, I had no issue installing or updating a game through the Xbox app on the game store. But this time, there's now a new potential issue that just suddenly prevents me from updating/installing anything which honestly is extremely annoying.

I have tried the following:

Restarting the PC

Checking for updates (Im not using windows 11 but fully up to date on 10)

Restarted the internet (both unplugging Ethernet and the router/modem)

Uninstalled the xbox app and reinstalled it

Uninstalled the Microsoft store and reinstalled it (Both this and the previous point, the PC was restarted)

Verified the right account was logged in and had the game pass (it does, spoiler alert)

Nothing is working and this is honestly frustrating. So can anyone give me any kind of solution of what to do here or do I have to start demanding a refund for a service that isn't working?

no it did not work the error code is 0x8007001F

Hi there TL welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I had this issue around a year ago. I could tell you all the 10 steps I followed to solve it, unfortunately what helped me to solved this was to restart my PC as it comes here:

In the part of Windows 10 click on "Reset this PC" these instructions will help you to solve the problem, you can even leave your important files!

And updating does not seems to fix the problem.

I really don't think the windows link given above are the right solution, as this is a generic windows error code (why would audio driver block Xbox games from installing... ?)

In fact it seems that this is more a not-being and Administrator account problem :

And apparently, if Windows 10 system resides on an external hard disk it somehow messes up the installation process for "Administrator approval required for installation" games (Error 0x8007001f
with Xbox Game Pass PC).

At the moment, in my case, it seems there is no solution to this problem :-(

I can't change my install (I moved Windows 10 on an external USB drive as I wanted more space for OSX on my laptop).

I have to wait for an update of XBox app if any.

I have the same problem here. Every Xbox Game Pass for PC game with "Administrator approval required for installation" in the description fails to install with error code 0x8007001F The game download starts fine, but as soon it gets to the part where the
installation should start - boom! - error 0x8007001F

The Windows 10 on my computer is up to date. All the device drivers are fine and up to date. The restarting of the computer, change of region settings, reinstalling Xbox Beta app, using Windows Store app instead, reinstalling of Windows 10 on different hard
drive (and some other of the commonly available "fixes") - nothing helps. The problem persists. The problematic computer is Apple iMac 27-inch model March 2019 with Windows 10 installed on a separate hard drive. On my Lenovo laptop the same Xbox Game Pass
PC account works without any problems.

There is a big misunderstanding of how the Xbox App works on PC. The Xbox App is not a stand alone application like Steam, Origin or GoG Galaxy. In terms of downloading and even running games, the Xbox App is like a portal. When you chose to download a PC
game on the App, the download is sent to the Windows Store App, and it is the Windows Store that does the download. The Xbox App doesn't download anything.

Like wise, any error messages you get while downloading content using the App are Windows Error codes. As far as I can determine 0x8007001f is a Windows Update error.

Have you tried to repair your Windows install using the
