call support that is your only option and yes it can take weeks not mins for paypal investigations

i said upto 92 days and yes it is on paypals OFFICAL faq on disputes



there is a difference between unauthorized access and fraudulant purchases

and yes there is 2 investigations

fraudulant purchases is purchases not unauthorized access not made by you on your account



unauthorized access means all actions taken on the account is investigated not just purchases

it is not an investigation of you

it is an investigation of the account and all actions while the account was compromised this includes msgs and modifications of the account including banable offences and fraudulant transactions and which ones you actually made

No it wasn't my son the games are not on his console that the purchases were made against so I can be assured that they were fraudulent. My Bank says quite simply I voluntarily put a card on my account therefore its not considered as fraudulent. Its bonkers!
Some of the purchases were made when we were away. No one has access to his machine and they are taught about the issues of security.

I can see that I will just simply cancel the XBOX account and get a play station

Thank you for your response Francia. We no longer have any of the x box consoles and I am unsure of the account for which the charge is generating. Does this mean I need to contact my bank and report the charges as fraudulent? I don't think they are fraudulent, but without being able to access the account the charge is generating from this may be my only recourse. I would think a company such as Microsoft would have a better solution than sending a customer to their bank to report a charge as fraudulent when it likely isn't.

Fraudulent charges are often a sign of someone else gaining full, unauthorized access to your Microsoft/Xbox account, typically from them knowing your password or other account details somehow. I am not sure how a phone number is
necessarily involved here, but you should immediately change your account password and call up Xbox Support once you've found the exact fraudulent purchases in your billing history.

My home xbox feature is used to make your account the main account and then all accounts on that one console can share its games and gold membership. Giving your account to someone else, accessing an
