Xbox forgets my keyboard everytime I turn it off?

Hey, I tried your solution and did a full factory reset like instructed and unfortunately the issue persists.

As of a month later there is still no fix and it's a real pain in the *** everytime I play

Did you think if the issue occured after a console update? If you didn't change anything, it may be a system issue. I would advise you instead to perform a factory reset to remove potentially corrupted data from your console. There's an option to keep your games and apps.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

did you end up finding a solution to this because i am currently dealing with the issue. some times changing the usb port wont even fix it

it has happened to me 3 times. everytime it happens i forget to turn off the xbox and the next morning cod goes black. to date everytime this happens i have reset my xbox under settings and storage but this is a long process as you have to reset and download
all your games on the one. luckily i only have ghosts for the time being. but if the unplugging thing works i will try that next time. and for now i have also turned off the kinect feature as it is a waist for me anyway. but resetting your xbox does work.
