    XBox for PC Not Opening


    I have been trying to open XBox For PC since the last update (which I think was today) and the app won't open.

    The black screen and logo comes up for a few seconds and then the program shuts down.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, checked for updates (for Windows and through Microsoft Store), run virus and sfc scans for threats and integrity issues, cleared cache through wsreset. Nothing seems to make a difference. Date and time is set to automatically update, and I've tried with a different internet source. All the things I can find online to try...

    I am running Windows 11 Home 10.0.22000 Build 22000

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Go here with the file explorer:

    %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_XXXXXX\AC\TokenBroker

    ( _XXXXXXX depends on your system)

    Here you will find two directories: Accounts and Cache. Each folder contains one file in it. Delete them both, and try to log in to the xbox app again.

    I ended up just wiping my PC back to a fresh install of Windows and it's now working fine.
    Needed to be done anyway, had been 6 months since the last wipe.

    Cheers again for the attempts, pity we didn't find the cause/solution but appreciate the assistance all the same.
