Actually the Xbox new model has a very few different adjustments. The new Xbox has a better broadband modem that is designed specifically for WAN behaviors. Failure rate is still the same. Still has heat issues and still has numerous of freeze issues. By
characteristics they are initially the same console, but the older console is a little bit more reliable for other reasons.

I was a Microsoft Fan... Until I made the mistake of buying the SurveyBox360. Microsoft really is a shame... They force people to buy a device that sales private information and evenly turns around and forces those people to pay to be surveyed. It really
aggravated me to getting all sorts of things Microsoft does to its community... All lined up and I've been blogging, posting alll ABOUT Microsoft habits. So now I am no longer a supporter of Xbox, nor Microsoft. I've been in and out of Microsoft community
for over 10 years. I've known what they done and really use to not really mind, because I saw Microsoft as trying to put a computer infront of everyone. I ignored their data harvesting on PC... Ignored their private revenues of other's market -- Basically
taking others ideas and using it as their own. I made point to teach people about keeping private networks off the net. As well as other methods of keeping data integrity secure. FOR RELIABLE INDUSTRIES. Now, I do not favor anything with a Microsoft symbol.
Their initial idea of giving people reliable computer is a hoax. Microsoft Windows is just am image they try to give for when people think about computers. Evenly, right now... Microsoft is trying to ensure that systems that come pre-loaded with MSWindows,
could not remove Windows and install another, secure OS. That wont happen though. Microsoft forces people to pay for that OS if it gets tampered with enough and the Product license goes invalid. It defeats the initial purpose of computing anyway.

Its just annoying. Microsoft is a USA product, but they steal... Scam... Take more from its customers... THAN ANY OTHER COMPANY. AT least now, you will have the option of turning off the backdoors in Windows 8. In XP - Windows 7 disableing Microsoft backdoors
would make the system have numerous errors. Vista was discontinued because of several abilities to disable the Microsoft backdoors without messing with system stability. As Long as you don't use XP service pack 3... You will still have a secure OS and RELIABLE.
Service pack3 of XP initializes background services(THAT NOT ONLY MADE THE SYSTEM SLOWER) but nabbed private information.
XBOX 1 Elite consoles, have slightly different Firmware
All 360s have the same system firmware and software.

The only disinguishing feature of the original 2007 Elite was HDMI. As HDMI filtered into Arcade and Pro consoles later in the year, it was a very short-lived extra feature.
The Firmware
Is the same across all consoles.
& system specs
on the 360 slims, are also different between models too & are Designed/Tuned for a specific purpose...
They're targetted at different audiences. All of them can be made equivalent with the exception of the internal flash storage modules on Arcade/4GB
units and original MU support (dropped with Corona).
for full game installation & faster transfer rate, between system components etc...
There's no difference between consoles in terms of performance. That's the point of a console.
The new
Dashboard is installed to your storage device now & isn't cached anymore too...
What does this even mean? The console firmware is not on the storage device. Starting with NXE, a storage device is required for connection to XBOX Live because the firmware
doesn't hold everything required by Live (like Avatar components).
The console, might update itself, when you install the standalone HDD..
The only reason a console would update itself is if it found a newer system update on a storage device.
You'll
know, when you turn your console on & log on to XBOX Live!...
No. System updates on storage devices are installed before any attempt to access Live is made. If a console gets an update from Live, that means Live was updated and the local storage devices
don't have a copy of the update.
Note: Installing a Regular SATA 1TB HDD in the HDD bay,
Won't work. Period.

Same here. the instant on mode causes the power supply fan to run 24/7. this cannot be good for longevity. how inefficient / poorly designed is the power brick if it needs active cooling for 15 watts?!

You quoted one sentence from his post that contained incorrect information and then went on a three paragraph tirade about how he's stupid and paranoid. Whether or not he "slanders" Xbox Live does not give you a free pass to make derogatory remarks aimed
at him.

What exactly was stopping you from typing out a post that read more like "Well, I respectfully disagree with what you're saying, and here are my reasons why" ?

Given how you type and what you're typing et al, I'd say -you- are the troll, NanoTechSoldier. You have this really bad habit, it seems, of making unnecessarily inflammatory posts and speaking down to people for no real reason.
