Xbox Family screentime restrictions and GamePass games

I have Xbox GamePass games on my home xbox series x. I am required to be logged in for GamePass games to work for my son.

My son has screentime to play allowed games as I defined, and is a member of my xbox family.

After his screentime is up, he is logged out of his profile. My profile automatically loads to the controller he used, therefore allowing him unrestricted access to all games at any time.

Can this be fixed to either:

- allow my family members access to GamePass games I have on my home xbox?

OR

- prevent my profile from being automatically used even though I have it logged into on another controller?

Since your son is using your Home console, he can access any games you've downloaded, including Game Pass games, without you needing to be signed in as well. If it's giving you an error, then either the console is not set as your Home or there's something
else wrong.

As far as your profile being signed in, you can change your sign in preferences in Settings.

I have not tried reinstalling fortnite yet, that was the last resort. But the screentime restrictions are identicle to the rest of the games. I will let you know how the re-install goes. Thank you.

With regards to this problem, only the parent account can manage the settings of a child's account if your account is somehow registered as a child or member in the Microsoft Family.

When you asked your dad to try and check your screentime, is your device already added to your Microsoft account? Normally there will be an option via https://account.microsoft.com/family on how to connect a device after you choose "Screentime" there is also an option there to choose whether to "Use one schedule on all devices" or you can ask him to opt it out.

I suggest to try asking your or any organizer in your family group to try and manage your account from the family list and if possible to have them remove the screentime or adjust it on your preferred time to play to prevent restrictions.

You can go to Microsoft Family Safety, select your child's content restrictions then uncheck the adult approval on purchases!

After you purchase the gamepass on his account, make sure to recheck the restriction again!

Hi, you probably turned that of in Family Settings somewhere. With family settings you can block things like this and set a max screentime.
If this isn't the case make sure the account does have Xbox live Gold
