Xbox family app Minecraft multiplayer settings not working.

I selected yes for allowing multiplayer on Minecraft for my kid on both the website and app in his account within the family, but when opening the game on pc he purchased (Minecraft Java) the multiplayer button is greyed out. When we try and press it is says multiplayer needs to be allowed in settings...

We also restarted the game several time, but still doesn't work.

    How can we play multiplayer?

    :)

Xbox family app Minecraft multiplayer settings not working.

    Hello Eve Kosol,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I can see that you're having trouble with Minecraft multiplayer settings on the Xbox family app. To troubleshoot this issue, please follow these steps:

    1. Make sure that your child's account has the appropriate permissions to play multiplayer games. You can check this by going to the Xbox family app and selecting your child's account. Then, select "Content restrictions" and make sure that "Allow" is selected for "Join multiplayer games."

    2. Check the Minecraft game settings to make sure that multiplayer is enabled. To do this, open Minecraft and go to "Options" > "Multiplayer Settings." Make sure that "Multiplayer" is set to "On."

    3. If the above steps don't work, try resetting the Xbox family app settings. To do this, go to "Settings" > "Apps" > "Xbox Family Settings" > "Advanced options" > "Reset."
