    xbox failing to register new gold membership


    I recently had my x box live gold membership expire, so i added a pre-paid 12 months x box live gold card to my account, however after my console accepted the code and "supposedly" added the 12 months gold my console, it refused to allow me access to multilayer
    and party functions claiming i had no gold on my account despite s just adding 12 months and tried promoting me to buy some more x box live gold, has this happened to any one else and any suggestions to fix this issue?

    My son has a gold membership on his 360. I don't have a gold membership. If I add my son's profile to my new Xbox One, then it will give me gold membership as well?

    I don't have a 360 anymore, and don't have an Xbox One, but I would imagine that adding the account to console will automatically open up multiplayer to all users on the console.

    I am sorry for you to have wasted your time...

    Family live gold is over, but with the Xbox One's new generation of membership, it will be possible to get only one gold membership, and all the accounts registered on the console will have the access to the Gold.

    Even friends taht register their account to play at your home will get the access.

    If you are new to Xbox live then when you sign up to live on the console and register you can select silver membership and you will receive a 1 month trial to Xbox Live Gold

    To play online xbox games you need a gold membership and an account registered as 18+ of age. If you don't have gold membership you have to purchase it to play online. In case you have registered a child account your parental account should change your
    privacy settings.

    Don't call support, just redownload your profile. You can see instructions on how to do that

    here    . If that doesn't help you, THEN you want to call support. Believe me when I say that you will want to try this now instead of waiting on hold for them to tell you this. ;)
