Xbox eternal hard drive issues

We understand the inconvenience caused. As per description, you are having issues with Xbox external drive. It did not save your games you moved. Let us check on this together and sort this out to assist your concern.

However, before we proceed, we would like to ask few questions about it.

1. What external drive you are using?
   
2. Any error messages? IF yes, do you mind sending a screenshot?
   
3. Have you updated the system driver?
   
4. Does the external drive compatible with your console?
   
5. Does the console detect the external drive?
   

Most common reason why it does not save games due to the following.

• The external hard drive might not meet the system requirements needed for Xbox Console to save games or apps.
  
• Or your external hard drive is not formatted toFAT32, so Xbox console won’t detect it.
  

So far, from the details you provided, you can try the following steps and let us know the result. You can just skip those you have done already.

• first restart your Xbox console, remove and then reconnect your external hard drive, and connect it to another USB port on Xbox to check if it is detecting the external drive or not.

Um this would have to do with an eternal problem of the xbox itself so your hard drive wouldn't/shouldn't be affected.

The fix posted is the fix for the DLC black screen issue, from DLC4. not this. I too am having the same issues with loading, it will now take an eternity to load to the point sometimes it seems the Xbox has crashed. Have the game on Hard Drive and still
is slow to load from it too.

No as chrome doesn't support box format you have to setup the drive again on xbox as a new drive since you formatrd it the first-time

This is why you dont try and bypass the rules

I used a laptop/chromebook and it's not showing anything up for where I can install my games onto the hard drive but won't it just re-format the hard drive back onto the xbox?

Because when I plugged it in, it showed up as a new device
