Xbox Error - the dreaded white screen

Error Code 0x80a4001a --- I think that says it all. Don't know why it would be advantageous to have everyone post this problem separately. Really don't want to lose data by removing my profile and loading it again. Could we have a fix please?

The Dreaded 800704DC Error

Im no computer wiz, so im just putting this is in the Account forum and hoping its the right place.

So I have been having this incredibly irritating issue with downloading my profile from my Xbone to my Xbox 360. I at one point did have the profile successfully downloaded, but recently ive been getting messages that I couldn't connect to live with that
profile, even though my internet connection has been fine and my account has a gold membership. so no issues there.

I naturally looked up the error code and discovered that many MANY gamers have had the exact same issue, with varying results. I found a nifty help list with seven solutions to the issue, and I performed all of them twice over with no results. I eventually
decided to go with the last option, which was to delete my profile from the xbox 360 and attempt to re-download it.

And that made it oh so much worse.

Now I cant even get my profile onto the darn thing, getting this message:

"Error 800704DC: Unable to download profiles at this time. Please try again later."

So now, instead of me being on unable to play online with my friend, I am now completely unable to play my xbox because the frickin thing wont download my profile. Xbox 360 games take up probably 70 percent of my game library, and I cant play them! My GAME
console which was made to PLAY GAMES cannot even do its core function because all save files have to be tied to a profile. This is so infuriating, and I know i cant call or chat because that wont help. Ive tried that before back when i was having another issue
with a profile, and that was.... just so awful.

So im mostly just writing this to document my own wonderful experience with this game breaking issue. Maybe someone will see this and not go through the same mistakes I made trying to fix it.

This issue needs to be fixed, xbox. Not just for me, but for hundreds of other gamers just like me.

 

Dashboard won't load

Sorry - more details:

There's no error messages - the system just hangs on the 'wait' screen.

It's a white original Xbox 360 with the external HDD.

 

try to redownload your profile. you won't lose anything.

 

Is there a fix yet?!?

 

How do you do that. It is happening to all the profiles!

Sorry for all the issues with
signing in. There is currently a Service Alertout
right now for Core services. There seems to be a workaround for now by removing and adding profile. There is a way can be notified when any updates to the Alert happens.
0x8a4001a error code is usually what most will see along with a white background. Other ones are there was a problem please try again later. If you decide to remove profile and
not sure how to do so here is a link for it also for power cycling console.
