Xbox error code: 0x87e10004

Hello Team,

I have come across this obnoxious error code for some time, and have configured my settings appropriately to play my specific game which is Black Ops - Call Of Duty. Now, this game is cross-compatible and I have it on the Xbox One and 360.

What I do not understand is the fact I am able to use the XboxGuide for Xbox One games. But, I cannot use the LiveTV function to stream Xbox 360 games which I have purchased from Xbox Store. So intellectual property laws do not apply to the purpose of my
use.

There is a work around for streamers to bypass this obnoxious error code. But, it requires cropping and zooming using PC software to stream.

So.... I need to know from Microsoft specifically.... Is there an update that is happening.... Or is there a reason for this feature to be discontinued. Maybe it's the fact people are using the LiveTV to record illegally. If thats the case, Microsoft should
only allow for games only that is purchased from their store.

I'd like an honest answer on why its not working is all. Too many threads on this issue and all the Xbox Moderators on here do not really specify a correct answer.

Is it something that will be fixed? It has something to do with copyrights etc.

It's for the same reason i left the Alpha ring. On the stable releases it works (for now).

Its been skipped on every reddit thread by MS.

I use my xbox one daily to stream my switch to my pc. It was always working great until an update in march-april. It should be possible to read the CEC of the devices on the HDMI in and make a whitelist. At least for other consoles.

I understand that you are having problems with error 0x87e10004 when trying to play Assassin's Creed Revelations through remote play on your Xbox, but do not despair. I will leave you some tips so that you can solve your problem in case it does not work, I will stay tuned for future updates. doubts

Restart your console: Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the console turns off, then unplug the power cable and wait 2-3 minutes before plugging it back in and turning on the Xbox

Uninstall and reinstall the game: Go to My games & apps > See all, then find the game you're trying to install. With the game in focus, press the menu button on your controller and select Uninstall
