    Xbox Enforcement clarifications


    Hello there!

    I read the post about enforcement policy and scoured the FAQ and curiously couldn't find any info on my question which is relatively simple.

    Are enforcements automatic or entirely reliant on reports from other users?

    In other words, if my friend and I are alone in a party and we both use profanity in private, will one of us still receive a strike despite no one filing a report?

    If a message is sent to a close friend that contains profanity but isn't reported by the receiving user, does the sender still receive a strike despite no one reporting the issue?

    Apologies if this has already been answered. I'm just extremely curious about this and couldn't find info mentioning my concerns specifically.

    If an issue is reported, then the enforcement team will review the report and issue a suspension if the rules were broken. If nothing is reported, they have no reason to investigate.

    I would still caution against sending messages to friends on the platform that break the rules as there have been many posts in the past from users looking to get a friend's suspension reversed as the report they submitted was 'submitted as a joke' and 'thought it would be funny'.

    chatting in a party means reports must be made, messages are automated by AI, example my friend sent his own son a message saying good night love ya son, it censored the word love, he did it for a few nights more and got a 2 day ban, which is an absolute joke.

    This is my question that I was asking, is how does “alluding to a male body part” break Terms of Service, especially in this scenario where the alleged allusion was pretty non-vulgar and a human being would genuinely have to determine what I actually meant in the statement. Basically, how would it instantly be determined that the phrase was vulgar if it is reasonable to say that the word choice I used would need to be contextually analyzed by a human?
