Xbox Enforcement Action Troubles

This isn't a question, but rather me needing to vent my frustrations with the support I've gotten from Xbox over the past two weeks. Let me start out by saying I've been a member for almost 15 years and my husband has been a member for almost 12. I feel
like for that length of time of dumping thousands upon thousands of dollars on games and online service, we deserve decent and fair treatment and support. More backstory, we met on Xbox Live 11 years ago. On our wedding night 6 years ago we changed our gamertags
to Mr Bader and Mrs Bader, our last name. It's always been very personal to us and we've gotten countless positive comments on it over the years.

Two weeks ago, my husband got an email saying he broke the terms of service and to head to the website to see what the issue was. We did just that, and saw that he had a forced gamertag change and a message saying that his gamertag was offensive. How, exactly,
is our last name offensive, Xbox? You pride youselves on the enforcement page on fair treatment and thorough investigation into any complaints filed on players, but I can't imagine this would have happened if that was the case. We filed a case review and provided
proof that it was, indeed, his legal name and linked them my matching account as well.

After waiting several days (because everything involving support takes FOREVER, apparently), they came to the conclusion that the forced name change was unwarranted and that his former name isn't actually offensive. They issued him a free gamertag change
out of "goodwill" (what a joke to even use that word in this situation) and assured him that the name Mr Bader would be available to him again within 24 hours since they blocked use of it along with the initial punishment. We were frustrated but at least happy
that they'd make it right.

24 hours pass....then 48, then 72, and it's still unavailable (and no, it was not taken by somebody else). We contact support and explain the situation, and the agent escalates the case to try to have it handled by the enforcement team. After three days
of waiting for a response, we're emailed that...he's issued a free gamertag change? He already had one, that wasn't the problem! It's the fact that the name wasn't made available again. Further emails proved useless, the agent continued saying "just pick something
else". That's not the point. This name very personal to us was unfairly taken away, they admitted it themselves, and said that he could have it back.

We contacted support again, the agent escalated it again specifying the issue better. Another four days passes only to get the same response. "Sorry, it's not available. Just pick something else". Our last resort was to ask if I could have a free name change
to compensate for the lack of help so we can at the very least have our matching names back, but that was also too much to ask apparently because further emails to the agent on our case were flat out ignored. So after a completely unwarranted punishment on
Xbox's end, two weeks of being jerked around by their pathetic excuse of a support team, and having to spend TEN MORE DOLLARS to change my name to match my husband's new one after their own mistake, I've about had it with Microsoft and Xbox and feel like I
should share our experience. Next generation of consoles, we're buying Playstations...and I'll recommend that to everyone I speak to about console gaming from here on out. Thanks, Xbox!
