    Xbox Elite Wireless Controller not working with xCloud on Windows 10


    I tried xCloud for the first time this afternoon, but my controller isn't working. I have a Series 2 Xbox Elite Controller, connected to my PC using the official Xbox Wireless Adapter. The controller works fine in Windows, and I'm able to use it to navigate the xCloud menu in my browser, but once the game launches it doesn't receive any input whatsoever from the controller. Is there a solution for this issue?

    Why would I request a repair for my controller? It works perfectly fine for all but xCloud. This issue is specific to xCloud.

    What wireless adapter is needed to connect xbox elite controller to windows 10?

    That adapter will WORK with the Elite controller.

    When I got my Oculus Rift, the set included the older model of the Xbox Wireless USB Adapter with a Xbox controller, and my Elite Controller works on my Windows 10 PC with that adapter.

    The newer version is simply a bit smaller.

    So you do NOT need a special "Elite" wireless adapter (which doesn't exist).

    The original XBox Elite controller requires the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 so without that adapter it will not be recognized properly by Windows. The newer, Elite Series 2 can connect to a Windows 10 PC without the need of an adapter.

    Make sure you are using a V2 controller.

    The first generation of Xbox One controllers (including the Elite) don't have bluetooth and need an additional wireless receiver to work with Windows 10.
