Xbox elite wireless controller broken bumper buttons after a few weeks out of warranty ....

Hi there,

The bumpers of my xbox elite wireless controller stopped working a few weeks after the warranty was over. For the most expensive controller on the market I find it insane that it wont work more than a year without failing. I have a ps4, a switch, and this is
the one controller that failed on me ever.

Is there a way to have it replaced or fixed for free? I cannot afford a new one that's for sure ...

It's an elite 1. Looking deeper into this a lot of people are having issues, there is even a class action for it. Gj microsoft....

Unfortunately I contacted support through chat, and phone, and no one is able to do anything because the warranty has passed. I was advised to purchase another one. This is unacceptable for the price tag.

Is it an Elite Series 2 Controller?

If so you have till January 31 to return or exchange it if you purchased it from the Microsoft online store.

I am also having this issue. Broken bumper, grip peeling off, stick drift. Microsoft is hiding from this problem and attempts to wash their hands of this by removing support for these issues in their website and selling a new model. Also pretty crappy
they offer stick drift software support for the new one but not the og Elite controller. I saw this coming when stores quickly stopped selling this controller and supporting accessories shortly after release. I've been getting the run around on this. I will
not by buying their new console. I am switching to Sony product line as they have zero issues like this.
