Xbox elite version 2 problems

I’m a disabled veteran with Primary Multiple Sclerosis. I don’t have feeling in my right hand to play games and very limited feelings in my left. I was excited about the version 2 and pre ordered it. Had it barely played it
because of my disability. Now that Resident Evil 3 came out I’ve played it everyday for the hour or so I can manage and I have stick drift. I called and they said this controller only has a 3 month warranty. I got it at launch from Microsoft. Don’t remember
anything about a extended warranty. So now I have a controller that has issues and honestly it disappoints me. I’m not going to pay for another one just to get stressed out because of a fault in the controller. Then send it back to get another faulty controller.
Honestly Microsoft if you can’t make something that lasts don’t charge so much. For a disabled veteran like me $200 for a broken controller is a lot.

I'm terribly sorry to hear about the issues with your controller. Unfortunately, warranty periods for controllers are short due to they wear out quickly depending on the usage with some games. Stick drift usually happens with the left thumbstick sensors
inside wearing out as that is the one that is primarily used for high action games like the one that you spoke of. The only way to remedy that is to have the thumbstick / sensors replaced or buy a new controller. We here cannot instruct you how to replace
the thumbstick / sensors but you can check on YouTube for instructional videos.

Thank you for the reply. My issue is the normal warrenty was a year. For the V2 it wad down to 3 months. Of it was a year i could of had it replaced with months to spare but instead I see this is throwing money away. I’m honestly looking for a differnet
hobby because this seems like a waste of money.

There is no Elite Series 2 version 1 or 2, my friend. It's Just Elite Series 1 or 2.

Elite Series 1 has only one version (1), and Elite Series 2 has only one version (2).

I have had the elite 1 and now the elite 2 , so far no problems. 👍

What is Elite 1 and Elite 2? Are you talking about XBox One joystick?

I have exactly the same issue with the new Series 2 controllers. I ordered the Electronic Volt version, but had to refund it because of the mentioned problem. Then I ordered the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, thinking a 150€ controller sure can't have these problems, but I was wrong.

So here I am, stuck my old Elite Series 1 controller that still works after several years, but starts to show wear, and I can't upgrade to Series 2 without winning the series-2-build-quality-lottery.
