    Xbox Elite V2 and XSX Controllers issue when connected to PC after update.


    I updated both my Elite V2 and XSX controllers so they can switch back and forth from my console to my pc with bluetooth and although that is working fine there is another issue. When I connect my controller to pc with bluetooth now a bunch of my applications don't receive inputs from my updated controllers anymore even though the pc shows they are connected. This happened after the update because right before they were working fine. Really weird issue I don't know what the cause could be.

    Hello,

    Recently I forgot my Elite V2 at home which I used to play on my PC everyday, so now I am trying to use a old Xbox One S controller.

    My issue is, that even though I can connect to my PC with the Elite V2, i cannot with the One Controller, even though it receives power to the PC via a wired connection.

    Im thinking that the controller needs a software update, but even on the Xbox Accessories App, the controller does not appear, nor does it on my device panel.

    I've changed cables, ports, update & reset the PC, updated possible drivers and the whole shebang.

    Any other solutions would be greatly appreciated,

    depending on how old the controller's software is you might have to update it on console before you can update it on windows

    Hello ChaChang,

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. I understand you are having issues with the elite controller V2 staying connected via Bluetooth and hard-wire. Do you have other controllers you can test out on your Pc to see if the issue is specific to the
    elite controller? If you don't have another controller, would you be able to test out the elite on a different Pc?

    If your controller model is 1708 and 1797 (elite v2),

    you can use bluetooth connect the pc / mobile phone.

    1537, 1697, 1698 (elite) is not support bluetooth.

    I don't play hard or competitively. Just google Elite controller v2 issues and view the results - its staggering.

    However, I have no problem going online to let everyone know to avoid this controller like COVID.

    In addition, Microsoft has acknowledged that this is an issue:

    Update:

    Switched to my 39.00 Afterglow controller that Ive had for 4 years, The fact that the 39.00 Afterglow has out-performed the 300.00 elite v2 is pathetic on so many levels...
