We will need to further isolate the case. Try to connect the controller to your console using a cable or use a different cable to see if the issue still persists.

Also, make sure that the controller is fully charged.

If the inputs are still delayed or unresponsive, kindly update the controller's firmware using a Windows PC to see if it works. Here's how:

Update your controller on Windows 10/11 by using the Xbox Accessories app:

If you don’t already have the app installed, get it in the Store:

Open the Xbox Accessories app.
Connect your Xbox Wireless Controller by using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
When the controller is connected, you'll see the message Update Required if an update is mandatory. Install the update.

Things to keep in mind:

The Xbox Accessories app is available only on Windows 10/11.
Updating the controller over Bluetooth is not supported.

.Also getting this on 2x separate Series 2 controllers that I bought from different places. The A doesn't register most of the time and I hate it so much cause when I'm playing Fall Guys, it doesn't register 90% of the time and my character doesn't make the jumps, which is most of the game.

Also, since I'm in Malta, I basically can't get a refund on them because there's no such system here like in the US with it being a small island. What's even the point of trying to get a refund as it's clearly a massive problem that affects most/all of them

I have had the exact same issue with several series X controllers. I love the feel and shape of these controllers but the face button issue has me buying 3rd party controllers until this gets fixed.

I have exactly the same issue with the new Series 2 controllers. I ordered the Electronic Volt version, but had to refund it because of the mentioned problem. Then I ordered the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, thinking a 150€ controller sure can't have these problems, but I was wrong.

So here I am, stuck my old Elite Series 1 controller that still works after several years, but starts to show wear, and I can't upgrade to Series 2 without winning the series-2-build-quality-lottery.

That's pretty much what I've seen when looking around forums, replacements after replacements, each with the same issues. I've issued a refund now, which is a shame since aside from the unresponsive buttons I really like the controller. Unfortunate that those buttons are kind of integral to the usability.
