Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller - Repair status has disappeared in Device Services but...

    Hi all,

I sent in an Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller for Repair on the 19th of June. It arrived at the service centre 2 days later but my repair status didn't update to say the controller had been received until the 30th of June.

Since then I check every day but the repair status just stayed at the state "Device Received" rather than anything to say the controller would be repaired or replaced.

I checked today on my devices page (https://account.microsoft.com/devices/) and now the controller is just listed as if I never even sent it in for a service.

No sign of any repair order or anything to say Microsoft have my controller.

Very concerned since I spent £150 on this to only have it working for around 2 months and now it looks as though the repair order has just disappeared leaving me with nothing.

Does anyone have any experience with this happening in the past or any suggestions on how to resolve the issue?

I was hoping to jump on a call or a web chat with a Microsoft representative but as soon as you select options about it being a warranty or repair issue they say you can't call or web chat about those and should instead just post in the forums which seems
    really off to me.

    Anyway thanks for any help!

    :)

Anyone else regret buying the elite series 2?

To my understanding, the Elite Series 2 controller has a 1 year warranty. If you are experiencing issues within the warranty period, you can request a repair/replacement service.

To get started, sign in at Device services,
select Register new device, and then follow the instructions.

After you've registered, you'll see the warranty status for your device. If it's within warranty, repairs are free. If your device is out of warranty, you'll be charged a repair fee.

    Elite Series 2

There have been many issues with the Original Xbox Elite Controller Series 2. Peeling grips, sticky "A" button, and faulty bumper buttons were among the common issues at launch. Microsoft appears to have fixed the issues with the Series 2.

If your controller is under warranty, then repairs are free. If your controller is out of warranty, then you'll be charged a repair fee.

Check your warranty status here: https://account.microsoft.com/devices/select-device-for-repair

Hey there, the Elite Series 2 controller should not be break that fast! If I'd were you, you could go to the site on the first step and follow the following steps, they should be able to repair it if you still have warraranty on it.

    1. Go to Device service and repair and sign in.
    2. Select the device associated with your service request.
    3. Select Repair Order at the bottom of the page.
    4. The status of your order will appear.

My Elite series 2 controller Start button is acting up

    Hi Rijkard,

Thanks for reaching out the forums! We are sorry to hear about your Elite Series 2 controller. I notice that you mentioned sending your controller out for repairs. May I ask if the controller was sent to Microsoft for repairs or to a 3rd party repair company? I would like to recommend that you check your warranty status by clicking the following link Request an Xbox controller replacement | Xbox Support and once you have verified device registration and warranty status I would then request a service request by clicking this link Getting your Xbox device serviced | Xbox Support and follow the instructions for "Submit a service order request" instructions.
