Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller Paddle Actuation Issue

Hello, I just got my first elite controller ever today.

When I tested the controller through the Xbox Accessories App I noticed that P4, the paddle that defaults to 'x' had a wonky actuation.

All of the other buttons activate as soon as they are pressed and the controller provides the 'click' feedback.

The P4 paddle can be pressed and provide a 'click' but unless it's pushed in all the way it won't register it.

In fact I can press the paddle, feel the 'click', and continue activating/deactivating it without moving the paddle back into its original position because of how much play there is in its activation.

I can already picture myself raging when I try to reload but it doesn't work because I didn't press the paddle hard enough even though it gave me the 'click' feedback that it should work.

My question is, is this something I can fix from home or do I need a replacement controller?

You will need to get a replacement controller. Trying to fix it may void your warranty.

Each Elite controller series 2 comes with 1 set of paddles. You can order replacement paddles, thumbsticks etc.

Series 1 paddles, thumbsticks is not compatible with series 2.

1. Make sure the controller is updated to the latest firmware. To do this, follow these steps:

3. Check the preset configuration for the paddles. Go to "Settings" and select "Devices & streaming," then choose "Accessories" and select your Elite Series 2 controller. From there, you can adjust the preset configuration for the paddles.

4. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to reset the controller. To do this, follow these steps:

- Press and hold the small sync button on the top of the controller until the Xbox button flashes.

- Let go of the sync button.

- Press and hold the sync button on the controller again until the Xbox button stops flashing.

If you continue to experience issues with the paddles on your Elite Series 2 controller, you may need to contact Xbox Support for further assistance.
