    Xbox Elite Series 2 controller not updating on PC


    Hi

    I wanted to update the firmware on my new Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller.

    I installed the Xbox Accessories app, and it prompted me for the update, and I started it

    But then nothing happens. Nothing at all. The app is not dead (the controller on the loading screen of the app blinks slowly) but that's all. No progress, no error message, nothing.

    I tried:

    - Using a different USB Cable

    - Resetting the Accessories app

    - Reinstalling the app

    Any help is appreciated!

    Xbox One Controller successfully connected to PC via bluetooth does not work with Windows apps.

    There was a new update released, can you try updating your Elite Series 2 controller again?

    I also have the Elite Series 2 controller and I do not run into these issues when using it with the PC.

    • To configure the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, get the Windows 10 May 2019 Update (or later) and make sure your PC has the latest fixes.

    Xbox Elite 2 Controller issue.

    Hello xPandaSanx,

    Have you connected your Xbox Elite Series 2 controller to anything else? If so, remove it from there, unpair it from your PC.

    If you haven't already, download the Xbox Accessories App for the PC, connect your Elite Series 2 controller via USB-C and update the controller. (Make sure your PC is up to date too). After it's updated, then try pairing it via Bluetooth again.
