Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller not connecting to PC via USB cable. Do I need a new cable or...

My controller is the elite series 2 controller, so I cannot remove the battery.

As I mentioned in my original post, the controller will not connect to my PC or Xbox with the correct USB C cable, and it will not charge or connect with the multiple cables I tried to use.

Is there a way I can send this in to get repaired?

yes you connect Xbox one controller to a Pc, wirelessly or cable, but to play xbox games on ur PC you need to connect controller via micro usb cable.

• Yes, you can connect the controller via the USB cable to a PC. The cable sends data as well as power.
  
• You don't need batteries. The USB cable sends power and data, As long as the controller is connected to the USB port on the PC will power the controller.

When the xbox elite 2 handle is connected to the computer using the usb cable, will the internal battery be charged?

Please help answer:

1. After the internal battery is dead, can I use the included usb cable to connect to the PC to continue playing?

2. Will the battery be charged after connecting the PC with the usb cable?
If so, then does charging while playing affect battery life?

when the controller is connected to the computer via USB cable, I do assume that the battery is charging (when needed)

1. Yes, that should be possible, regular Xbox One controllers without batteries will also work when connected via USB cable

2. I'm afraid that I can't answer this question. Battery life can be affected when a battery is charged while not close to being empty, but that might be different per type of battery, it will also depend on how the firmware handles the charging.
