Xbox elite series 2 controller disconnects only when playing connected with the USB C charger

This is happening to me too, only after last May 2022 update. I have a Elite series 2 controller and the only way I can play without constant disconnect is to leave the charger cord connected at all times.

I'm sorry you're going through this problem, I'll do my best to help you. Does the control only disconnect when connected via a USB cable? You could try with other cables and follow these steps:

1. Turn off your console and your router/modem.
2. Unplug all cables from both devices (power, HDMI, etc.) and wait 2 minutes.
3. After 2 minutes, plug all cables back into your router/modem and wait for all the lights to turn on.
4. Connect all the cables to your console and turn it on.

I have a question for you, do you play with some AUX cable connecting to the controller with external speakers?

Because when I’ve been connected with some speaker to the controller it was disconnected, when I plug it off, stop disconnections.

MY SOLUTION:

When I Play with USB-C and the aux cable as well, It WON’T discconect,

The problem is only when I play Without usb-c cable, probably because it’s can’t use so much power only with the batteries while the speakers are connect into the controller.

Did you find a solution to this problem? I updated my Elite series 2 yesterday, and now I have the exact same problem. Elite series 2 is recognized as a regular xbox controller and does connect via bluetooth, but doesnt work. Connected via USB-c the XBOX accessories app doesnt even recognize it...

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but that didnt help.
