Xbox Elite Seires 2 Controller going hay wire

Hello,

Today out of nowhere my elite controller started to do extra things. First the right stick is stuck in the right position, (the analog is straight up but the controller is reading as if im going to the right on it). the left stick became hyper sensitive causing anything im trying to select to overshoot it. aswell as for the dpad, if i try to use it, it ends up double selecting (i press up once, it goes up twice)

Please help if there is anyway to fix this, not trying to buy another one. ive updated the controller but the same issue is still there

The only way to hard reset the controller is by turning it off, waiting 30-60s and turning it on again.

Besides that, you can only update or rollback a firmware update on the controller.

If the power reset on the console did not work and the above also does not work, please try to perform a factory reset on the console:

Press the Xbox button > Settings > System > Console info > Reset this xbox > Reset and keep my games and apps.

Note: the "Reset and keep my games and apps" option will not make you lose your games, but you will need to sign in to your account again.

Would you please try to power reset your console?

1. Turn off your console and your router/modem.
2. Unplug all the cables from both devices (power, HDMI, etc..) and wait 2 minutes.
3. After 2 minutes, plug all the cables in again on your router/modem and wait for all the lights to show up.
4. Plug all the cables on your console and turn it on.

See if the issue persists and please let me know.

Nope not at all, im wondering is there a way to hard reset the controller?

Do you own the scuf paddles too? Do you find it much much easier to use than either the seires 1 / 2 paddles?

I know people will say it’s personal preference, but to me it’s not that simple. The scuf paddles are so natural to me that I had zero learning curve when I first put it on 2 years ago. I’m so glad I bought it while it was still available. Everything on
Scuf’s website for the Elite controller 1 is now out of stock so I’m kind of worried that they are not making anything for any elite controller anymore.
