Xbox Elite Controller v2

I bought the controller right at the time of release.
I must honestly say that I am not satisfied with the thing.
After a year, I noticed that the gap on the left trigger is much larger than on the right trigger, so I can still see over it, but I suspect that something has broken off in the controller, because when I shake it, it sounds as if something small is being
shaken around in it.
Two days ago I wanted to move the small stick to change the setting for the right trigger and suddenly I have the small lying on the ground and the thing is broken off.
how can it be that you buy a controller for 180€ and it breaks after just under a year.
I also wrote to microsoft but only because of the trigger problem and they told me their controller is out of warranty and I should send it in for about 130€. What is that I do not pay 180 € to pay after 1 year again 130 € for a repair.
I looked on the net and found out that microsoft only offered a 90 year warranty at first - what kind of policy is that?
for that price, the thing has to last at least five years.
I had the elite controller v1 before that, the rubber layer came off after 1 year, so I had it in my hand. I got a new one after that, but it wasn't 100% functional after a year either, because the bottom button didn't work properly anymore.

I won't give microsoft a fourth chance, I'll stick the stick on it and use it until it completely gives up the ghost.
